i gotta say the smaller the better sometimes. my old fender champ (mid 70's) was teh BEST amp for getting good clean tones ever! and it breaks up nice too if you plan on 10!

Totally easy to forget about this factor, but this is a pretty decent article on worrying about the "feeling" and "emotion" of a song as opposed to too much technique and gear nit picking
