Ok, great. That's good news. One less thing to worry about. No it is not connected to any other structure that I want to isolate. Just the laundry room, but I'm not going to worry about that. It will be fine. Interesting on decoupling the drums and bass from the slab. Great idea. Sure looks like a c...

Thanks for the response Floid. here are some pictures. the first picture shows the tall main wall that I was talking about. This wall is a border to a laundry room area, that other people will use. I think they'll just have to hear music when they are doing laundry... oh well. But, I do want to isol...

green glue w/ double sheetrock VS resilient channel
Hey y'all, I'm still planning my rehearsal / recording space, and have run into my next question. I have a wall that is already sheetrocked. I am wondering if I can just put green glue on a second layer of sheetrock, stagger the sheetrock seams, and attach it (will that be good enough???), OR.... if...

Thanks for your reply. I'm attaching some images. This is the part of the garage/shed that I will use for rehearsal and recording. The purple things are the barn doors with foam insulation from home depot inside of their frame. I'm actually getting a new roof in the next few weeks. It will be metal ...

Thanks for the response. One other aspect would be the insulation factor of a cinder block wall vs. a 2x4 wall w/ typical pink insulation. I forgot to mention that I will also be living there, so good insulation is important as well. Room within a room sounds very interesting to me... I just hate gi...

concrete block walls
Hello, I am converting a shed/garage space into my rehearsal/recording space. It has cinder block walls on all four sides. My eventual goal is to soundproof it as much as possible so that I can rehearse with my band and play loud. I have a long way to go... My question is about the walls. There is o...

2 FMR PBC-6A compressors
I have 2 FMR PBC-6A compressors in excellent condition, light use.
Local company I bought them from engraved their company name on the bottom, but that is the only odd thing about them.
100% functional and sound great.
$300 for each of them. Or $575 for both.
Thank you,
