Re: Four Re-Amp devices in a single rackmount? Does it exist
I?m looking for a multi re-amp device in a rack mount format; maybe 4 in a single space? I have seen the Radial units and they are not what I?m looking for. I have a single 'ReAmp' box, but it's always in the way, I can?t imagine it if I had 4 or 5. I need this mostly during mixing; using Reverb Ta...

Before I knew what reamping was, I always wondered what the bottom two boxes were for too. Astrodan you're not alone! It wasn't until I saw the image large on a computer screen that I realized it was just three views. When that image is small in a magazine or catalog that looks like one mind-boggli...

Funny story... When I first saw these, it was always this display pic of the three at different views: http://www.reamp.com/home_images/home_reamp.jpg So I wondered a)how the boxes on bottom connected and b)what the hell was the top box for? I'm from the south. :) Because many people didn't underst...

Apparently there is some controversy about whether or not he was the first to "invent" it, or simply the first to market such a device. I don' really know the details though. Anyway, other than that, I agree with everything else you said above! For the record: I never said I invented re-amping, onl...

Seems like every recording forum on the interwebs gets a visit from John Cunniberti regarding the reamp thing claiming that he single-handedly invented/patented/is the father of it/is the reason why it is common practice. I will give him credit... I never heard of it until I saw one of his ads in a...

Re: Reamp
FYI- The first Reamp I built and sold was in 1993. I applied for a patent at the same time. The patent was granted in 1999 after five years of searching and considerations by the U.S. patent office. The process cost me over $10.000. The Jensen diagram you posted is dated 1995, which is two after I ...

needlz's comments were certainly out of line... but, c'mon... the whole "say it to my face" thing on messageboards is so seriously lame. your post would've been plenty effective without the last line. if you're somewhat of a public figure (I've heard your name hundreds of times and used your produc...

Build your own for < $100... the a** at rea** is trying to patent something that has been around. This is a very simply DIY build. http://www.muzique.com/lab/patent1.htm FYI- The first Reamp I built and sold was in 1993. I applied for a patent at the same time. Well, I must be using my passive direct box incorrectly because I'm not hearing any distortion when I have it rigged up as a reamp. That or I should have my hearing checked. Allow me to put it this way. You can use a Shure SM57 as a hammer providing the nail is small enough, you hit it just right a...

Re: Potentially dumb question about impedance
Don't be scared. He can't sue you for not buying a ReAmp (tm) (r) He only turns up when someone mentions "reamp." Makes you wonder if he types "reamp" into Google search all day... NewYorkDave or who ever you are. You appear to have a need to attack me personally and I would like an explanati...

Re: Reamping... call me dumb, but what is it?
One of the lesser mentioned points about the reamping devices is the ground/earth lift. The Reamp? unit lifts pin 1. The Little Labs PCP and Redeye units lift the Xformer. Anyone trying to deal with ground loops when reamping should know the big difference this makes. E-cue, can you clarify this a ...

I must say, there is a lot of bad information being offered regarding Reamping in this thread. If you want more accurate information on Reamping go to http://www.reamp.com/faq.html

Re: Any good Reamp imitators out there?
I have gone to a lot of trouble refining the design and packaging of the Reamp? over the last 10 years. I have no problem with engineers building their own gear to use if they can?t afford the high end stuff or think they can do it better. It cost a lot of money to build a piece of electronics that ...

The fact that Joe Satriani is not on the RS list makes it invalid.
