I want to try swapping the 12AX7 tube in my Rocktron Voodu Valve guitar processor. I've read comments that the 12AX7 is too high gain and should be replaced with a lower gain tube for better sound. Could someone please recommend a replacement tube for it?

Just export each audio track to a wave file, use a sample rate converter program such as R8Brain to upsameple the wave, then import the upsampled wave to a new project. There are many sample rate converters. Here's a good site that compares them:

Anyone? I happen to have two Mullard 12AX7's in storage. Will they work and will they be good replacements for the 12AY7 tubes in the EH 12AY7 mic pre? They will work. Hi, I have the Electro Harmonix 12AY7 mic pre. It already sounds good but I'm wondering if it could be even better with a tube swap. What tubes would you suggest for upgrading the ones on this unit?
