Given the price range I could get the 8 channel one and get all my 8 track reels and 4 track cassettes done too.

Thanks for the advice.

DECENT / GOOD 2CH USB INTERFACE?

I posted this in the gear forum, but this is probably the correct place for my question: I am looking for a decent to great 2 channel USB audio interface for my home setup. I was thinking at capping it out at the $500 mark, but I would be happy to pay less and if it's an amazing interface I could be...

GOOD 2 CH USB INTERFACES?

I am looking for a decent to great 2 channel USB audio interface for my home setup. I was thinking at capping it out at the $500 mark, but I would be happy to pay less and if it's an amazing interface I could be persuaded to spend more. I will mostly be transferring old cassettes for reissue bonus t...

Thanks guys. I wasn't really expecting to get it for a case of beer. But I would like to fund a joint that could master a hardcore record for LP and CD (HDCD) at a reasonable price. HDCD is not a dead format at my house, and I am going to listen to this CD a bunch over the years. anyone out there wi...

HDCD MASTERING/ENCODING? ON A BUDGET?

I am the guy who still likes and buys CDs. I have a release I am working on, remix, remaster of an old record. I would love to do it as an HDCD (even if I can't use the logo/name). Anyone know who masters that stuff? Anyone on here know how to master/encode it? Who does Neil Young use? can I buy the...

considering baking some tapes myself

Anyone here done it? Advice? I've got 4 2" reels from the late 80's early 90's that need it.

Please advise,

Bruce

Sonicraft are very nice and helpful, but unfortunately are over my budget. I've heard the 130 degrees in an oven thing, but I know that my oven is not very precise and I would really hate to screw this up as there are no backups nor is there a good mix from these reels.

Any other ideas?

I've got four 2" 24 track reels from 1990 that are shedding like mad and need a run through the oven so they can be transferred.

Anyone have a good option in the Philadelphia / NJ / DE / NY area.

Please get in touch

Dude if I had the reels from this record I would be very happy dude. But unfortunately 80s punk labels didnt have the best offices or storage facilities. It looks like the reels are in a landfill somewhere after the label owner moved in the late 80s. I saw a bunch of audiophile creeps writing about ...

Vinyl Transfer for remaster (mastering FROM vinyl) where to.

hey everybody. I have a record I am working on a reissue and I have a master together, but the liner phase distortion is driving me nuts. I was wondering if there is anyone I should take it to to have another stab taken at it. I have ready about really fancy record players and super expensive needle...

I would hate to piece it out. I would rather have the finished shrink wrapped product come to my doorstep ready to go out for pre-orders and press. I also have an 19 month old at home and no where to assemble it without little handprints all over it. It's the FOD (Flag of Democracy) Shatter Your Day...

Discmakers can't do a standard 5"x5" 4 panel CD wallet with an outside thumb cut. Think of a standard "mini LP" style CD packaging. What they have to offer is a CD wallet that's the exact same size as a jewel case. Which is something like 5.5"x5" and really makes formatting the artwork for a reissue...

it's Summer 2012, where do we get CDs pressed?

I am looking for a quality, reputable pressing plant for a project. Saving money is great, getting the project done with proper results is much more important. Discmakers can't do what I need them to do.

let me know who you are using and sending clients to nowadays.

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. We don't have a tape delay at the moment but it is on the list of things to acquire (a very long list). I think I have a couple solutions for this project. 1. Don't let the singer drink at all, schedule 3x the amount of time I would normally need for vocals and make him do it ...
