Fresno, CA service center

I am considering moving to Fresno, CA and opening up a musical electronics service center there and am wondering if any tape opers in that area have some thoughts. Is there a market for it, what you think of the service centers there, etc. I have also considered opening up a small music store or rec...

I have a SE5000 tube mic that I am going to work on for a friend. Does anyone have any schematics for these?

Thanks everyone.

I have a few dremels and haven't had much success in getting the lines cut straight but I will take a look at some different discs. A small circular saw is cheap enough that I may get one and try it as well.

Always good to have a reason to buy a new tool....

The front panel is 0.125 aluminum. Rear panel is 0.05 steel. I'm looking at the Par Metal cases.

Front panel is a large cutout for the module and rear panel is an AC Inlet cutout....

Cutting holes in metal case

I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to cut rectangular or square holes in a metal case. I racking up some pres and have greenlee punches for the XLR and 1/4" holes so that is no problem. I need to make a couple of rectangular holes though and want it to look good. A hacksaw and file seems ob...

FS: Waves Y56K card

Waves Y56K card up for sale. I used it in an AW2816 for some time but just don't do much processing in the AW2816 anymore.

Could also be used in most newer Yamaha digital consoles.

$300, free ground shipping. PM me if interested.

Just wanted to update the post. All input channels and output transformers that I have for sale are gone. I still have the frame, output channels (without transformers) VU meters, etc. if anybody needs parts for a console. I'm going to keep the OT3000 for now. The transformers may come in handy for ...

FS:PM1000 Channel strips and PM2000 output transformers

I have 8 PM1000 input channels that I am looking to get rid of. $50 each, plus shipping. PM1000 output transformers for $20 each, plus shipping. Can work out a deal for multiple channels. I also have 8 PM2000 output transformers in a 2 unit rack, from Yamaha. 8 XLR in and 8 XLR out. The model # on t...

Correct. The PM2000 is +/- 24V DC. Unless, I am mistaken, the 2520 supply voltage needs to be between +/12 and +/- 20 V DC.

As you stated, there are API 2520 replacements that can run at +/- 24V DC, which should work in the PM2000.

I have had both the PM1000 and the PM2000. Here is my 2 cents. The PM1000 has a very thick, full sound, especially on anything with some low end. It sounds great on drums, bass, etc. It has some well documented limitations, such as EQ points being odd, no direct outs, a bit noisy (compared to modern...

FS:Los Angeles: PM1000 Channel strips

I have a 16 channel PM1000 that I have decided to part out (unless someone local wants to make me a good offer ) I am going to keep a few modules, power supply, and power transformer for myself but am going to part the rest out. I'm thinking $60 per input module and $20 per output transformer, or $1...

Looking for PM1000 parts

Just picked up a PM1000-16 in decent shape but I am looking for a few odd parts. I need the handles on each side and the little plastic nameplate on master module 1. Other than that it looks to be in pretty good shape. I would also like to find a talkback module as some mods were done to it but not ...

Yamaha PM2000 PS cable

I have one PM2000 power supply cable that I no longer need. I had a PM2000 a few years back and sold it like an idiot... Anyway, I was going through some stuff and realized that I still have an extra power supply cable. Don't know what I want for it. Make me an offer. Open to trades as well......

Unfortunately, this is all that I have left. I was holding on to these to make some custom preamps but decided to sell them instead.

I found some fader knobs that were pretty close from Rean. You could pick these up on Mouser if they still have them. I don't remember the model though...
