I have a few of those powerstrips that are spaced out for warts, but they are pretty bulky. Check this out:

I used the shoulder mic on my last 2 projects - the first one I had everything mic'd and pulled the shoulder mic back. But the one I am doing now I am really digging it pulled up in front with the overheads and then dropping the close mics back. I used an Oktava 219 for something a little different ...

AHA! Found it, although I swear I read .028, anyway this: http://www.radiolists.net/pipermail/broadcast/2008-May/019028.html says .035 - in any case it is one of those two - if you have no luck without one - try a jeweler/gunsmith or looks like this set has 'em both: http://www.amazon.com/30-Allen-W...

Yes you definitely have an allen screw in there from your pic. And it will stop grill from turning of it is all the way in - the grill threads are super fine - you really only need to get a good couple of turns on that allen - try this (unless your going to try to buy one an allen tool - the 0.028 m...

I posted this a while back somewhere as a lot of people were asking about how do take an RE20 apart - click on pics for some instructions: http://tinyurl.com/yksrms7 Few notes: * The allen wrench is I think is something silly like 0.20 mm - Telex stopped selling them and I couldn't find one at a har...

Sure, check out Briana Cash: http://www.myspace.com/brianacash I produced and engineered all the tunes she has on there- "Here With Me Now" has two little string instumentals - first is @ 1:25 in 2nd shortly thereafter. The piano in "Really Like Your Way" is all Reason (Abbey Road Keys). Note: The v...

I use an 002r and Reason 4 and really like it. Main because Reason does A LOT in one program, so instead of having to have different programs (like Garritan for orchestra sounds and something else for synth sounds and something else as a sample player) its all integrated into one program. The way I ...

I haven't used audio with reason at all. Couldn't you just bounce that track to an audio file and import it back in? Might need that new Record software- not sure. Reason on its own doesn't allow for recording audio - so you would need Record. Although, you could bounce it to an audio file and impo...

Yep - MAG is right on - put another way, you are essentially hitting one chord/note that just sustains. Since it is only a midi command and not an acutal recorded sound, if you start playback from anywhere after the start of that event (the first time you play the note/chord), Reason doesn't have an...

+1 on the D112 here - I have plenty of mics to choose from now and still often use that with a direct signal for bass. Use it on kick all the time too - and I have a few to choose from there as well - thinking about building a subkick for fun though... Can usually get a D112 used well under $200...

My short simple pitch: I help to run a non-profit local community arts center. Completely run by volunteers, all of the money raised helps to heat & keep the lights on. We exist entirely on donations. We run a monthly coffeehouse to showcase original music. The only thing the space has is a board an...

I remember playing at a club years back in Rhode Island that ended up having to close its doors because the licensing agents caught up with them after not paying for years. Keep us posted on how this works out - there are fewer and fewer places to play and I think we are going to start seeing the ag...
