Where to sell a fairly rare synth??? (Casio CZ-1)

I have a Casio CZ-1 in excellent condition that I'm trying to get top dollar out of as it is a fairly rare and sought after synth. Any suggestions for good synth forums or something?

So it is pitch problems that you're talking about? Definitely try the one headphone off. Try some warm-up scales to a piano or guitar. Also, like someone posted above (I think), you can figure out the vocal melody on piano and have a guide track to sing to. If you have pitch correction software you...

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I got a few new ideas that are useful but they also reinforced that I'm basically on the right track/mindset. This is the recording that inspired the post and I would appreciate any comments you have on it: http://www.parallelmirrors.com/audio/M2-Nobody03-04-2010...

Your juicy secrets for recording killer vocals

I know every singer and situation is different. But I want to hear some opinions on recording techniques to capture great vocals.

Thanks for the tip. I have been using the overdrive with good results.

Yup, traditionally that's done by pushing some amplifier stage pretty hard, but all amps sound different when they're pushed. I'd suggest going back out of the box. Do you have any outboard compression? If not you could try running the signal back through the mic pre and record it, then make sure i...

If you have the UAD card, try the 1176 in all buttons mode to stress the vocal a bit. You can insert it or use it on an aux mixed with the original vocal. You could reamp the vocal through a guitar amp. You don't have to do full on distortion, but just a bit where it is on the edge of breaking up a...

Need more grit in vocals! Plus vocal FX

I am recording male vocals that are very "smooth" sounding and I'm wondering if anyone else has tackled the problem of bringing out the presence or "grit". Just EQ??? My vocal chain is Focusrite 428 -> Mojave MA-200 -> presonus firestudio then using UAD plugs (EQ, Comp, Verb). I'm happy with the cla...
