I've had this happen with my Mac and my PC

There's always BLA which wouldn't require any change whatsoever in your workflow. They modify Motus to make them more "hi-fi." I'm not positive, but I don't think they touch the actual converters though, just all the analog circuitry going in and out of them, which apparently makes a big difference...

MOTU Converters

I'm using a MOTU 2408mk3 with good results. I do most of my mixing and work out of the box into Reaper. I've been reading that converters are a good upgrade for overall sounds quality - but how well do the MOTU Converters fair against other "higher end ones". Are they worth upgrading? And if I do - ...

FMR Products

Hey folks, I have been using a pair of FMR RNCs for the past while with great success but I'm looking for some more variety. I have the Funk Logic rack for the RNCs but I was thinking of taking one of them out and putting in the RNLA or the PBC-6A. I've messed with the RNLA and it was pretty nice bu...

I've got the RNC and RNLA. I use my RNLA pretty often, but rarely use my RNC. When I first got my pair of Sennheiser MD421s I put one on kick and had it going to my custom API 312 clone, going into RNLA, instant power. Such a great, huge sound. I also LOVE the RNLA on bass, and I'll often track wit...

FMR RNLA??

Anyone using this? I have an FMR RNC that I really like but haven't used this guy yet...

What's the consensus?

VU Meters

I have a console with a dead meter bridge... thought about throwing a pair of these on there

anyone ever used one? My main concern is that it would add unwanted noise or color to my tracks but who knows... might be a good thing to have.

Like I said before... maybe these aren't identical to a "real" LA-2A or 1176 but in all honesty... who can afford those? And we could go on for hours about whether or not plug-ins sound as good as their physical counterparts but that's not the point of this post. My point is that I was able to get s...

Antress Plug Ins!!

Wow... these are really stellar sounding for free plug ins! Maybe there are better plug ins out there but when you consider that these are made available at no cost you have to admit how good they sound. Anyone else tried these? Maybe my ears aren't as "fine tuned" as other people but I'm really dig...

turns out it was a mismatch... to fix it I put the track into Audacity and changed playback to 48k - I then exported it as a WAV file and we're back in business.

Thanks for the suggestion guys!

especially check if you recorded at 48K by accident, then when you render and play back at 44K, it will be too slow. Doh! I've done that more times I care to admit to.
If that is the case should I just re-render it in 48K?

Playback Issue w/Reaper Render

I am relatively new to using Reaper but I just did a whole song on it and after I render it to a WAV file the playback on the song is about 1/3 too slow. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I have tried playing it on more than one computer but they are all too slow.

If you are doing rock, I'd check out the Aphex 107. Handy little preamp to have around, and it's a better investment than a phantom power supply.
good plan...

Phantom Power Woes

While the reason I need one is a much longer discussion but the phantom power on my Soundtracs MRX Board isn't working correctly (when I turn it on it my meter bridge shorts out or something... never have taken the time to try and fix it) - here's a video: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1...
