Didn't they used to call the Dano the Tic-Tac bass? My overall feeling about action, is a low action is easy to play, but won't sustain for as long as a higher action. I played a Ripper or Grabber bass once, which had the worst action ever, but the sound was great, horrible to play for a long time t...

I don't have a Bass VI, I have an Epi baritone strung with Ernie Ball Bass VI strings, so I have two buckers rather than 3 single coils. I keep it open tuned mostly. Things I do: 1. Used it with a tiny Dano Honeytone amp which has a 6" speaker I think or maybe 8, mic'd close, turned down low, using ...

I've toyed with the idea of putting it on the network, so I can copy files to my workstation, and just blocking it at the firewall, but Windows is so damn self-willed, it finds ways to download updates when you least expect it. A 16GB USB drive will usually fit an 8 track session, shame I only have ...

Similar to my setup, I have a 1010LT and a machine that was mid-range in 2007. Mine does not connect to the net, period.

I'm a little behind that, on XP unpro, eventually I might get a second drive for it.

That aside, not being able to copy files from a drive because of lack of space is pure Micorsoft, and the reason I'd like to dump it, I mean come on.

Took a bit. First had to change the BIOS of the machine as I had it set to hard drive boot first. Then had a few attempts to get my USB stick to boot, not sure if the USB image is bad, or the machine won't boot from USB, rewrote the image a few times. Then tried a linux install CD but it wouldn't re...

Fnuffing Windows

Accidentally let the hard drive fill up the other day. No problem I thought, I'll just archive all of last years sessions onto my backup drive. Funny, windows won't let me copy even though it's the original drive that's full, not the target, keeps complaining it doesn't have enough file space. So I ...

Man the sooner you Yanks adopt millimeters, the better. I was actually having this discussion at the weekend, as I was working in someone elses shop, and I apologized for having to work in millimeters, as all the gradations of inch make my head hurt. He agreed with me, and went on to prove it by scr...

Not knowing what this is exactly, could you cut part of the panel out, and bolt a thinner panel for the pots, a panel within a panel. It might look cool, again, not knowing what this is :D

Maybe you should just make a new front panel, for the gauge of the pots?
