I've always hated overheads being designated L + R too. i super agree: the track sheet is a dying art and that is fuct up. but wtf? you guys are crazy. L = hats, R = ride/ floor tom unless you have a lefty w/ a lefty set up. and if yr mixing or considering mixing the drums in 'audience perspective'...

this is my obligatory nod for the remo RENAISSANCE series heads.

put them on anything and everything. snare, toms, kick, batter side, res side, banjo, whatever.

coolness goes waaay up off the charts.
