WTB Software to control Mackie DX8 Gen 1
I recently got a really good deal on 2, 1st generation Mackie DX8 mixers. They're working great but I'm missing some of the features that are only available in via the software which I can't find anywhere. I've contacted Mackie, but they've been unresponsive. So I'm getting desperate and seeing if a...

The dragonfly sounds like it might be the ballpark of what I'm looking for. Here is my situation. My main recording setup is at the bass players house, due to more space for tracking. I've been taking the raw tracks and copying them to the laptop to take home and mix on my own time. I really just ne...

Well the insurance is not mandatory. The contract is really just a boiler plate deal. There was also no fee to find out about the insurance :) As far as bullshitting them on the insurance, the venue is thee place to play in our hometown, so I don't want to burn bridges. Anyway, it all worked out. As...

Liability Insurance for playing shows
Sorry if this isn't the correct forum. My band is playing a show opening for a fairly big headliner. The venue's contract states we need Commercial General Liability insurance, and workers comp insurance. This is the first the band has come across anything like this. Is this standard for larger venu...

You might want to spell it "Reel to Reel" in your listing so you don't only get one lucky bidder who manages to buy it for $0.92. But spell "tubes" "toobs" so you look kewl Damn, busted by the Typo Police. The last time they got me I wound up doing hard thyme. :P To everyone else, thanks for the in...

Shipping stuf with tubes in it.
I have an old tube real to real recorder that I want to sell on Ebay, and I'm wondering about the tubes getting damaged during shipping. Should I pull the tubes and wrap them up individually? Any Ideas would be great Thanks.

Wireless Monitor systems
I'm looking at getting a wireless monitor system. I've used Shure ones before and they sound nice and seem really solid. I'm wonder if there are any other brands that you folks could recommend that aren't junk. I'm willing to spend $300 on the transmitter, but would like to get one for less, if its ...

If it's really, truly is the best, then what's with the distortion Oh SNAP!!! :) Anyway, I guess by best I meant easiest. The electronics for the cassette player are on one board, and that board has the wires going to the other board with the tuner, and main volume controls. The output on my Zune i...
