Annoying "Authentiation Required" Box

I keep getting an "Authentiation Required" Box from openx.tapeop.com every time I go from page to page on the TOMB. It keeps appearing even after I type in my user name and password, and it goes away only after clicking "Cancel". This happens on the desktop and mobile media. Is there a way to get ri...

Thank you guys.
do they have a budget? are they expecting you to do this pro bono to support the cause?
They do expect to pay for the service but I don't know the budget. They currently are shopping around. I do, however, have an inside lane: I am dating the VP.
Is it an interv...

My 1st video project

Hello gang, I have just been asked, for the 1st time, to do a small video for a local non profit. The video consists of a series of about 10 three-minute on location interviews and testimonials with the program participants. The videos will be posted on the company's Facebook page and website. I wil...

Thank you guys for all your ideas.

Actually GJ I am experimenting with different speakers. I am starting to do sound for radio and TV commercials and some film post. I have a pair of Yamaha HS80M that do the job so far. I don't mind paying 200-300 bucks for a pair of speakers.

Studio Quality (sort of) Prosumer Speakers

Hello Gang...

Are there any brands and models of prosumer speakers you feel comfortable monitoring thru in the studio?

Thank you all for your bits.

Thank you guys for all your input.

The work that I am starting to do is more foley, dialog, sound effects, editing, etc. rather than music. I do know most commercial releases are done on PT, but going the PT route feels like I'll be selling my soul to Satan.

DAW's Suited For Sound to Picture and Film Post

Hello Gang,

Are there any DAW's with features specifically designed for sound for picture and film/tv post production? I am starting to pick up such work. I am aware of PT HD and Nuendo but can't swing the $2K price tag yet. I use Logic Pro 9.

Thank you all for your bits.

What's up with all the USB2 Interfaces?

Hello gang,

USB3 has been around for years, so, does anyone know why manufacturers insist on making interfaces with the much slower USB2 protocol? Please enlighten me.

Thank you all for your bits.

Emptying out the trash from my macbook

Hello Gang, I need some wisdom! I am deleting an old MacBook back up from a Glyph drive. However, the back up is over 800,000 items (Mac labels everything to be deleted as "items") and at the current rate is going to take over a week to secure empty everything. Is there a way to speed up the process...

Live sound gods...I need thy help!

I am wiring up an auditorium about 90ft long x 50ft wide. I am unsure which of these jbl models will suit best: JBL CBT 70J or CBT 100 LA. I have pair of JBL MPro speced similarly to the CBT 100 LA and are plenty powerful for the aplication, but I have never used line arrays. I favor the 100A as it'...

Arranging the band on stage...

Hello gang I need some help... I am an experienced sound man, but occasionally I run into unfamiliar territory, hence this plea for help. There is a new band in my church with serious organizational issues, to the point where the band leader often looks at me for direction. Question: [b]How do I eff...

Power conditioners

Hello Gang,

Is it an intelligent idea to connect surge protectors, strips etc to power conditioners, even if they're from the same brand (Furman)?? I want to run my whole studio-currently 15 pieces of gear-off 1 power conditioner. Any ideas??

Thank you all for your bits!

Update the speakers and in the process update the room you're working in. Update = acoustically treat your space.
