You can certainly design dynamic mics. They are typically more complicated than either condensers or ribbons. Many communicating chambers are usually required. A machine shop and electroacoustics knowledge would be helpful! If you just want capsules then search alibaba. Plenty out there but perhaps ...

looking at the graph, i dont see the low end strength on th 664, as it looks like a steady gradual fall from around 1k. Hey Scott! I have the option of something like the transounds or to manufacture the capsules. But I have to agree the TSB-165 sounds very nice.
