Re: Mixes..and car audio
back in the A&M daze , shelly yackus had a red 57 chevy in the back lot, and in any studio , you could patch the mix into a radio transmitter, and go back there, and listen and puff.... What I am interested in is getin a cheap FM transmitter, plug my mix into it and send t to the boombox, car anythi...

Re: Transients
try it you may like it ? always UNDO if you dont..I would think that 8 feet may affect the timing of the drums in the song ?
and bring the toms and other drum mics down in volume when not being played....that helps tighten the drum sound..

Re: Records or stuff you did in 2003(an appraisal)
this year was our "lab/studio" opened.I basically stayed away from the 'hollywood;gigs and basically got kinda turned on by listening to new music. a lot is regurgitated with an attitude, and mostly good looking people.. Our studio did a sh*t load of cd duplication and I was involved in producing/en...

Re: producer, dick, messiah
in a DAW world and hopefully a trusting Artist, one may be able to do multiple Ideas and possibly take a song into a whole nuther dimension if thats what you like..It may fly , and it may not...As a producer I feel OK about throwing sounds/arrangements at the wall and seeing what sticks... As an eng...

Re: I am drowning in a sea of mic preamps
