Seaside Lounge looking to rent out Studio B long term(BRKLN)

Hey all, We are The Seaside Lounge in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY and we're thinking of offering our Studio B for a really good long term rate to the right engineer looking for a home base to work out of. If anyone is looking for a fully functioning studio with Pro Tools HD, modest but high quality out...

It's just a quick slap with maybe some very short plate verb on the slap? You'll probably need to EQ the slap to get the sound right.

Get a Behringer Intelligate. Best gate for the money, hands down. I'll be you can spend less that $50 on one. I bought 2 for 80! They've got every function you could want including nice high range low/high pass filters, balanced ins/outs, what else do you need?

Ebay scum - don't buy from this guy

Hey all. A friend had a guitar stolen just over a month ago from his office in Manhattan. Always a bummer and he absolutely loved this guitar. He's been pretty diligent in keeping an eye out for it and he finally saw it on Ebay a couple of days later being sold by this guy: http://stores.ebay.com/We...

Peerless insurance seems to be great so far. We found a great agent that serves NY but I don't know if he does the whole country. I'm sure I can find specific info if you need.

This was such a bummer since 456 is seriously like no other tape. I tried 911 for the first time 2 weeks ago and was seriously disappointed. It just soaked up the life of the music I was recording. 456 would have seriously injected some life on the other hand. There isn't much like hitting that stuf...

Re: So, has anyone actually gotten work by listing here?

I've gotten a few clients in because of it. I love the forums here and everyone respects one another (generally) so I'm pretty excited when someone calls us from seeing our posts here.

Re: PT LE's analog outs. Am I crazy?

Just as more fodder, I've noticed quite a pleasing difference when switching from out 001 converters to the Swissonics while mixing (D/A). I put drums through the Swissonics now because they just sound much better. I think the Digi 001 is a way too close to junk compared to other stuff marketed at t...

Thanks Arthur. We just got an Echoplate 1 AND 2 plate verbs. They are SWEET! Now if I can find some bands to record and put them on everything.
