I loved reading the interview with Emmit Rhodes. He apparently had 4 speakers for monitoring on his wall, 1 for each channel of his 4 track. Can't remember what type offhand.

Re: Free RTAS EQ plug-in

After working with the demo for an afternoon, I decided to buy the full version last friday. Sounds great, and Steven was very prompt with reg info. lots of good ones here. the only one i can think of offhand is the creation's "making time". the bass player switches to the bridge a measure early. very noticeable, but of course, the song is awesome. they were smart to keep the take, i think.

another vote for murray. and the troggs. dubba-dubba-cha. i have a jackie mclean album called "long drink of the blues", in which they start the opening track, which falls apart after 30sec or so, and is followed by a few minutes of bickering about the arrangement. after which they launch into it ag...

my introduction to deerhoof was seeing them on the milkman tour this spring, and I can honestly admit they are one of my all-time favorite bands right now. I've since bought all of their amazing albums, including runners four which i got the day it came out. it's nice to feel like a teenager again, ...

Re: Lap Steel Choices

don't laugh. i was given a gift certificate to musicians friend by a relative, and was won over to buying their budget line lap steel by reviews on harmony central. can't say i have anything to compare it to, but it's a surprisingly useful instrument. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/searc...
