Re: Is reason worth the money?

Reason 3 is about to come out if anything I would look at all the new features for that version instead of 2.5. Actually I'm not really a Reason user so I can't tell you all the benefits although I'm familiar with some of the things that turn me off from using it. I would recommend FL Studio 5, with...

Re: waves or UAD

Your going to get more bang for your buck getting the UAD 1 Studio Pak, not the project Pak. Waves plugins are good in my opinion too but with the UAD 1 you'll probably find it very easy to get good sounding mixes where with Waves you've got to work a little harder. They still are good though. Get t...

Re: Fruity vs. Reason?

I would choose FL Studio over Reason because of the Lifetime Free Upgrades, the sound quality is good (if your using high quality instruments or samples) very flexible and you have a lot of options. I was never able to get into Reason because it seems so closed in, you have to use the sounds it give...

Re: Reference CD's ?

I always work at my own studio/lab but I use reference CDs when working on mixes and self sound enhancement tweaking (dare I say mastering, I haven't earned the title Pro ME). I think that the reference CD's will be of music that you are probably producing as well and that YOU think sounds good. Her...

Fixing Corrupted Wav Files

I just recently recovered my system from an accidental format of an entire partition which contained all of my music data. I was able to restored everything using data recovery software, but several wav files aren't playable anymore. Are there any programs that you guys know of that can help me fix ...

Re: dual processing for pc's

It's not just about getting a faster CPU but also getting a computer system that utilizes faster type of memory such as DDR and Rambus. What good is a fast system buss when the memory can't even keep up and benefit from the higher buss or CPU speeds.

Music Website Hosting Options

I want to put my own website up for people to download and listen to my music, I'm just about finished with it. I've designed the site, paid for the domain name, and now I need hosting. I thought about hosting it at home on a Windows 2000 webserver I configured, but then I realized, once people star...

Ideas on Building a Vocal Booth

My friend wants to build a vocal booth, he's a carpenter so building the booth isn't the problem, but he wanted to find out what type of material can he use to insulate and soundproof the booth other than the material you can go out and buy. Is there an inexpensive way of doing this. Thanks for any ...

Re: Abelton Live???

I'm using Ableton Live 3 and I love it, my tracks sound good using it, it has a simple interface which makes it easy to use, but it's powerful. Unlimited tracks, and you CAN edit your tracks modify them add effects, etc. You can't edit them like you could do using Pro Tools or even Sonar, but you ha...

Re: musical dreams

I had a dream the other night, I was on stage rapping and the crowd was loving it, it wasn't your normal thing, me and a bunch of other people where all huddled up in a circle jumping up and down as we rapped, which put a interesting twist to the interaction with the audience. I heard the music very...

85 Nissan Maxima over 300 thousand miles, but it drives like a champ. I travel in this baby all the time, never failed me yet, I've had it almost a year now. Just keep oil and gas in it and I'm good!

Re: Quality Reliability Of Behringer Mixers?

It's funny because the magazine I was looking at that had the Behringer, showed some nice user reviews from people that bought the mixer. I was on the american musical supply website and checked out reviews for the Eurorack MX2442a it looked promising. But I would rather have something that's going ...

Re: Quality Reliability Of Behringer Mixers?

Damn I'm sorry people I didn't see the other Behringer post which is similar to mine, but one thing I didn't find answered, can anyone who has any experience with the 24 channel Behringer mixers provide some feedback or insight on why not to get one or whatever. For under $600 you can not beat it I ...
