Electrical Audio is Listing a Bunch of Surplus Connectors

Hey, We're selling some of our surplus connectors and electronic parts over the next few months. These are mostly extra connectors leftover from different projects and studio construction, all unused, and sometimes in their original packaging. You can buy from ebay, our username is "electricalaudio"

Call Beyerdynamic...

The M500 won't be able to take loud amps or drum close micing without distorting.

Wow, You lucked into an amazing mixdown machine. You can record independently on either track. PURC is built into the audio boards already, and that only has to do with punching in/out seamlessly. OK! :D I am assuming I'll be able to monitor one channel off sync while overdubbing onto the other tra...

I highly recommend ATR Service rebuilding the thing if you can afford it. It will be basically a new ma...

If it's the original design without "improvements", I'm all for it.
Having something like that new from the factory would be great compared to a 30 year old mic that's been punished by 7 million kick hits and clumsy hands.

Not really, You have to be careful to not bump the capsule or let any solder flux spittle rain on it (rubber base slides out). I think the only thing you need to desolder is the XLR connector (IIRC). The two circuit boards plug into each other via a edge connector header. The screens unhook from the...

Re: AKG 414B-ULS busted grille

Hi, One of our 414s was recently hit or dropped or something. The metal band that hold the grille in place broke off at the base. I took the cover off the chassis and it looks to me like the band and the chassis are(were) all one piece. I'm sure this has happened to other people's mics. What did yo...

12 hours in a food dehydrator at 130? F should take care of most 1/4" reels (the exception being some really rare, flawed formats or terrible storage. 24 hours for multiple reels, or wider tape widths. You don't need to worry about flipping it. Every time you open the door, you bring down the temp a...

On my old A80RC 1/4" there was a mono erase head, so it wasn't possible to record on the tracks individually. I seem to remember there being no way to monitor off the sync/record head either. That would make it hard to overdub anything. My 1/2" A80RC can record the two tracks individually, but again...

Tascam MS-16 Parts Giveaway (XLR Connectors)

Tascam MS-16 I/O audio electronics cage. All of the audio cards are removed. All that's left is the chassis, output amp board, 16 male XLRs, 16 female XLRs, 32 RCA connectors (not sure how they're mounted), and Tascam connectors. It's basically worth it for the panel mount XLR connectors. Handy for ...
