Just used some chains on a track I recorded and mixed called "Ghosts":

Tow chain from the auto body shop downstairs, a pair of 2x4s, a Soundelux iFet7 a couple feet back thru a CAPI V26, and you too can have Marley's ghost playing percussion.

As someone who routinely sifts through a large amount of library music on a regular basis, I'm more likely to pick a track if it sounds like it's jumping out of the speakers at me. There's a pretty wide range of stuff out there in terms of both writing and sound quality and unfortunately, I audition...

Thanks for all the interest. I'll be posting pics soon and will be more available to field questions - I've been unexpectedly busy over the past couple of days. Thanks for your patience!

Massive Studio Cleanout Sale!

Downsizing some gear that sits unused these days. Larger pieces for pickup only; located in downtown Philadelphia. Recorders: Tascam MS16 1" analog multitrack recorder with AQ65 remote / auto-locator. Runs at 30IPS only. Channel 11 input card is flaky, should be a simple fix, otherwise in excellent ...

Personally, I'm enjoying watching everyone on the DUC and GS freak out about how their PT system is now "obsolete" and how expensive it is to upgrade an existing system. To which I say: aren't you already producing audio on your existing system with (hopefully) relative ease? And nobody from Avid is...

I once had an awful nightmare in which I went to my studio, found the front door ajar....and EVERYTHING gone. No gear, no instruments, nothing. It was soul-crushing.

I renewed my insurance policy the next day.
