http://f0.bcbits.com/img/a0725314576_2.jpg http://nipptwissle.bandcamp.com/ Just finished an EP with my duo, it's a mix of electronic / pop / experimental, we try to make catchy songs but still keep things interesting musically, and we tried to put a lot of variety into the arrangements. All record...

It's very nice...sounds like it could be a quieter Mogwai tune. I really like around the two minute mark where the flute (or whatever it is) comes in...there's definitely a nice thick-textured sound there. However when you hear the attack on the flute, you can really tell the inauthenticity of it......

So many months later, the full EP is finally up ( http://coach1.bandcamp.com/album/flip-out ), but it sure was a struggle. Basically we recorded the new songs and I was really disappointed with the way most of them turned out, spent a lot of time fiddling around with the mixes, and then did nothing....

It could use some more enunciation :lol::lol: Just kidding! sort of, I like the voice but wouldn't mind being able to better understand what's being sung. It's definitely a pretty bare song which sometimes can really work, but yeah I think the first half of the song could use some sort of dress...

Thanks for the comments Nick. I do feel like I normally skimp, or "settle" on my vocals since I'm not a very accomplished singer. I am going to attempt to take more time to make the vocals stronger in newer recordings, which will probably just mean I need to do a lot more punching in. I have to be h...

thanks for listening! my biggest problem with drums is trying to get everything with two mics since i'm just using an mbox, which i usually just use a kick and an overhead so sometimes the snare gets lost a bit. I did move the key around for Friend I Know a bit before recording; were you thinking it...

Week 5: http://soundcloud.com/z-plan/friend-i-know This is a song I've had rolling around in my head for a year or two now, so I was pretty excited to finally get it recorded and be pleased with the results. You could say it's sort of Beatles-y, though that description is definitely a cop out. I was...

Your stuff is so good. To me it's the epitome of tastefulness; every instrument is playing exactly what it should and nothing more. This track is GROOVY. I like the flute texturally, but I wish it were constructed more like an actual solo rather than a simple repeated melody, but I'm assuming it's o...

Ha, only someone from the UK would call this "country-style." Anyways its a nice song and I like the mix, it's pretty unique sounding. When it first started I thought the vocals and the snare sounded odd but by the end I thought they sounded fine. Sorry I can't give more constructive advice, but I t...

A couple songs recorded in my new little studio
Well I finally got to a point in my life where I have my own separate room for recording. Since I started pursuing home recording around age 16 (almost 10 years ago!) I have always been confined to my bedroom, which was a nightmare space-wise whenever I wanted to set up and play drums. Anyways, I ha...

Wow, great suggestion. I went to them with my inquiry and the first answer worked. I had to create an aggregate device in my audio setup.

I do have the correct interface selected, and under active input channels it says "0 out of 0" (it's 2 out of 2 for output). So as you can see, it doesn't even detect that any are there! If I try to change the track input, it says nothing's available. I just tested it on Garageband though, and it de...
