i wouldn't bother........tracking to tape and then duming in the computer is cool, but the other way round.......bit pointless really........i'd be more inclined to tell you to stem yer mix out onto a console, mix in a "traditional" way to a well mantained and aligned 1/2" or 1/4" deck.you'll get more...

i'd just give up.....or carry on as you are.........in the last ten years i've had to "sit in" on sessions run by a couple of guys that teach music technology at some very established schools, one in Boston and one in New York.........both occasions have been a fucking nightmare, only adding to,and co...

push up the vocal fader first. push up kick drum fader second push up bass amp fader third. then fit everything else in around that.no real hard or fast way, everything is different every time.the only constant being that,if the song has a vocal then that's probably the most important thing,everythin...

depends on what purpose the guitar track has to serve.i mean,is it a rhythm track in a dense mix with loads of drums, bass and electric guitars??is it finger picking?? is it gonna be just guitar?? anyway,i'd think about that for a minute before anything else....and then i'd probably do what i always ...

Bo Diddley's exciting, and it's one fucking chord half the time. The problem with most of the stuff listed here is lack of rock skills and bad singing. I'm not directing this at randy, but, if your argument is 'everything's been done', you miss the point: heart. Nobody puts their ass on the line, e...

i generally try and stay out of that shit.if they have issues amongst themselves when they come in to record with you...wel,that has nothing to do with you,so.......i mean,if they start duking it out in your control room you might wanna step in,but otherwise i'd be inclined to leave them alone to de...
