I've got a Radar 24 with two I/O cards in it so I'm looking for a third card to take it to 24 tracks. Also on the lookout for a Session Controller.
Located in the UK but happy to pay import charges and deal with international shipping.
Thanks!

Digidesign 888 24 USA/UK Voltage question
Hi,
Will a 888 24 bought from the US work in Britain by just plugging in a UK power cable or would the voltage be incorrect?
Many thanks

Do the heads on this one look too worn to be worth it?

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. Seaking of the Primus album, how come it's got plenty of high end and barely any hiss? Is it just a matter of recording practices and a well-maintained machine? Haven't heard many 388 albums sound that polished. (Incidentally, just listened to the Crooke...

Cheers. It seems to sound better than most low-end tape stuff, which is probably a lot to do with the fact that it's John Frusciante playing it, but still, there seems to be something about the sonics. It's low-fi but sounds unlike a home demo to me for some reason! Yes, the artist name would help w...

Pretty unanimous then. I think the only reason I'd consider a 688 would be the ease of taking it to wherever there's a drumkit easily (I'm more or less done with programmed drums. Minus the "more or less" part). I take it the 388 is sturdy enough to deal with being lugged around every couple of week...

Does anyone know anything about the recording of this? Gear used? It's one of those albums that makes me feel you don't need more than a little tape machine to make a great record. :-) Seems like there's some 1176ish flavour to some of it though. Dince much of it was done while recording BSSM I'm su...

Tascam 688 or 388 for demos/possibly albums?
Hi all, new to the forum, got a couple of questions: I'm considering buying one of the above and would appreciate any input from anyone who's had/used both. I'm attracted to the portability of the 688 and lower cost of media, but would not want to sacrifice sound quality if there's a very big differ...

Musicians in London?
Hi,
I'm currently looking for musicians in London to jam/collaborate with and see what comes of it. I'm 28, I've been writing and recording music for about 16 years. Some influences would include Frank Zappa, Ry Cooder, Tom Waits, much of what Flood and Alan Moulder have worked on!
