often when i double track things they can have a phasey quality to them.

i think ive seen a couple mics there. wont be as busy as other ones though...

you will get comb filtering with that sort of mic setup. but if you take into account, with the far mic, that there are things like room reflections and other whatnots which can cover up the filtering going on. and there is also a chance that the comb filtering may be contributing something positive...
