What I am understanding here is that if I go the S/PDIF route for effects, I need to pick up something that has both in and out so that I can use my DAW as the master clock. Hmm, I didn't even consider latency trouble over S/PDIF. I always thought that keeping the signal processing in the digital realm would reduce latency. Has anyone else experienced latency trouble using S/PDIF signal processing devices?
