Re: ashly sc-50

For normal operations, the switch should be IN. eeldip, you probably are hearing something different from the direct signal, but it's just passing through all the electronics, not...

Another vote for Fripp. My all time favorite solo is from Baby's on Fire off Eno's Here Come the Warm Jets.

Re: I'm such a dick
I haven't lost it in the studio, but I remember a friend bringing over his new album so I could give it a listen. They were a basic three piece rock band and as they went into the chorus on the first tune, a completely-out-of-place, weeny keyboard part comes in. I couldn't help but laugh, it sounded...

Re: Flower Shape Ikea Diffusor
For a company like IKEA that is so heavily into marketing, it's amazing how much of their product line is inaccesible through the net. Neither the "stromma" nor "rabatt" are available on their site.

Re: Reverb tank
Hi, This came from (I think) somebody on this board, but I didn't save the link. I just copied and pasted the info into a long file of interesting audio tid-bits. I haven't tried it yet, so you're on your own: Get a couple of old spring units - yeah the ones from guitar amps, hammonds, whatever. You...

Re: live sound: best approach for banana speaker cables?
You probably know this, but just make sure you aren't using coaxial cable. The cord should have two parallel conductors.Should I get some banana connectors and replace the 1/4" connector from a regular 1/4" cord?
