what fuzz are you using on guitar? just a big muff or something else? Sorry I'm on a fuzz kick lately and came across this. sounds great so far, will have to listen to the whole thing when I get home. I've been on a fuzz kick for years now. I'm starting to think it's not going away. The fuzz on "He...

I like the Valentine guitar solo. It's certainly not a pop solo. I was into the chaotic nature of it. Love the spring rev sounds! Some quick notes: Everybody's Alright could use some glue. Trip: Work on balances. Verb on drums might be a bit long. I Long For You is also a tad wet. Levels between/am...

Sounds like Sly and the Family Stone if they were still around, young and full of energy in 2014. The sounds are fantastic, and the playing is really good. I'm all for weirdness in solos (and weirdness generally, musically speaking) but I think it would work better if the backing instruments go the...

Nice. Funky, in just about every way you can express that positively. Thanks for sharing.

Cool sounds! You're drummer's a hoss! How did you record "Everyone's Alright" and "I Long for You" ? Were those done in a studio? "Everybody's Alright" was recorded live in a rehearsal studio. Same session as "Hey Valentine." One mic on the drums, bass direct, guitar amp mic'd. Vocals were overdubb...

Thanks again for the responses. I guess the consensus is I should boost the bass!

Thanks for the reply, Snarl.

The guitar solo slips in & out of a whole-tone scale towards the end. It's supposed to sound odd. And it does!

I'm curious what you mean is a little weak overall. Do you mean the low-end? Should I boost the bass?

Thanks again

Feedback / advice on my analog works in progress?

http://davezula.bandcamp.com/album/i-cant-let-another-day-go-by-ep Song 1, "Can't Let Another Day Go By" was taken from a 4 track recording of a band rehearsal. It was recorded spontaneously & haphazardly, & therefore had lots of sonic 'obstacles.' I mixed it down to tape & did a home mastering job ...

This album sounds fantastic. What an inspiration for a fellow analog enthusiast. I am planning to do a funk record on a cassette 8 track pretty soon and I hope it sounds half as cool as this.
