Awesome man. Yo La Tengo pops to mind. With some 90s MBV textures. I can hear everything and everything sounds "right". I like the vocals set back too. Female vocal on Empty Pockets are rad. I dig it.
Cold Cave comes to mind.
The texture change in chorus is cool. The lack of bass/kick kind of makes it more dramatic. When it comes back in makes you feel "yeah!".

Cool man.

Cool man!

I can feel that kick drum in my chest!
Reminds me of David Gilmor + Later Eno.

Good work!

Walls I've hit:

Self-doubt ("does this sound good? too bright/dark, is this tune interesting, have I written this song before?)

And lack of input (technical, creative) from other people. Or a second set of ears I think you would call it.

Hey OP!
Sounds like totally a legit record to me!

I like:
Kit is from drummers perspective (everybody's got an opinion on this I'm sure)
I can hear everything!
Tones are pleasant.
Nothing harsh or popping out.
Tunes have cool texture changes between sections.

Totally legit man.
Good job.
