Re: RIP Rocco

What a loss. Between him and Jamerson, they covered most of what I consider awesome in bass playing.

Re: Listening to music ... like this?

Germany here. I played my first drive-in show last weekend, to about 250 cars (with beer benches next to each car, so its occupants didn't have to stay in the car for the show). 45-meter movie screen with live projection behind us. People brought boom boxes with radios and had a hundred little priva...

Re: leslie speakers and stereo recording

My preference for the horn is across the open back of the Leslie (I always unscrew the back panel to the horn), about three inches from the horn diffusors, at about 90° to each other. 441s or 57s. I prefer 90° to 180°, because I feel like the closer angle gives a clearer sense of rotation direction ...

Re: Chairs?

After having spent a few days in hospital with back pain a decade ago, I invested in a used Herman Miller Aeron. (Check for the correct size!) Best. Fucking. Decision. Ever. Made. For the studio. …well, apart from that time twenty years ago I finally gave in and bought a patchbay. sorry for the der...

Re: Logic X Pro - Tempo and Audio Files

Your 2nd "fix" would be to indeed print the individual drums onto the tape, Then import them to Logic. Then you groupd all these new tracks. Then you edit them to MATCH the original Stereo drum track exactly, hit by hit, until you are done. If you have set Smart Tempo to follow the originally recor...

Re: Logic X Pro - Tempo and Audio Files

Have Logic's Smart Tempo analyse the imported 388 tracks and apply the audio's region tempo to the project (control-click on region). Set the project's Smart Tempo to "Keep" ("Automatic" might work as well). THEN import or record the additional drum tracks into the project. It should "Just Work".

Re: TOMB Software Update!

There's a little exclamation point button in the upper right-hand corner of every post.

That's the "report" button.

(I've already reported the vErizon spam posts.)

I'm super-glad the forum has been updated and your signaled support! So, not to be too choosy as a beggar, but could we please have the mega-board back? Does switching percussion on/off have any influence? Usually, percussion is triggered off the topmost (1') drawbar, which is the sixth harmonic, I guess. When percussion is switched on, that drawbar's harmonic is killed. I've heard of mods that restore the harmonic even when percussion is on, or tha...

Hey, I didn't see this earlier, but I'm afraid you're going to have assume that EVERYTHING that wasn't in an airtight case is complete toast, beyond any repair. I had a similar case in my rehearsal space/storage last summer. The fire was one story down, and the smoke completely and irreparably destr...
