I'm looking to purchase a Tascam ATS-500, or something that can similarly resolve SMPTE code and send the servo control to my 238. Looking to get that nice locked to DAW feel. I'm local to Boston/NH but wouldn't mind paying for shipping.

The playback on my 238 is putting nothing through on channel 7. As far as I can tell it records just fine, but playback is a no go. Any suggestions? I've pulled out all the cards and swapped them around so I have a feeling that it's something in the PCB-Head relationships and somewhere in those wire...

I just got my 388 up and running (needed a new capstan belt (BUT TRACK 6 STILL ISN'T WORKING I'LL DO SOME READING ABOUT THAT)) and I recorded a little ditty for a video project I'm working on as my first trial of the 388.
