This sounds great... very warm and rich.

I love MH Character. The different modes are all nice, some are really subtle and don't really make a difference until stacked across many tracks. It's not a really strong effect overall, just adds a little nice warmth and harmonic flavour when used over a mix. I don't know the exact models the emul...

I'd love to hear the results of this technique.

I had a good season for new gear.. picked up two used ULN-8's at a great deal and got Softube Console 1. I'm loving both. The ULN-8 is almost too flexible, I've spent so much time playing around with different workflow options.

And another development. If I zoom out so that the tracks don't scroll and the playhead is barely moving then the CPU goes back down. Apparently, as far as I can currently tell, the CPU issues are largely due to Logic trying to animate the audio tracks and playhead. I can't seem to find any setting ...

A further development. I did a live recording last night, just 6 channels. When I get it all setup for mix with my base plugins etc everything is totally fine. That is, until I close the mixer panel and hit play with the audio tracks visible, then it's instant CPU spike and totally unplayable. When ...

Yep.. this can happen even with a single track playing and one basic plugin like eq.
