That is killer! I would definitely print a stack of those to keep on hand in the studio.
One suggestion... maybe add a second circle inside the circles for all the EQ settings? That way you could note the frequency and how much is boosted or cut. Does that make sense?
Nice work!

Re: The Tascam 388
Having a little issue with channel 2 on my 388. I've been through the entire thread as well as the 388 maintenance/repair thread and haven't seen this addressed anywhere. My apologies if I missed it. I did find the same problem on this thread in the HomeRecording.com forum, but it didn't appear to b...

Tascam 388 + patchbay question (phantom power)
I'm getting ready to inherit a patchbay from my brother and have been researching how to hook it up to my 388. I've read the thread by j.harv and that sums up exactly what I plan to do. I'll use the channel insert jacks on a half-normal patchbay, which is essentially just like extending the channel ...

Opening it up and spraying the pots with chemical cleaner seemed to do it actually. There was hardly any dust inside the machine, just a few spider webs. It had also been making static noise when I would press the channel switches above the pan control so I sprayed those down too. Its pretty easy t...

I hired my drummer to come down and cut a track with me a couple months ago. We got together that afternoon and knocked out the track we were working pretty quickly so then we decided to put on a fresh reel and jam... just guitar and drum set. We recorded several short improv grooves, but each one h...

I disagree. I think you're misinterpreting the way it's intended to be read... It's supposed read as "EFX Out -> Reverb In" and "Reverb Out -> EFX Return"... or "EFX Out goes to Reverb Input", and "Reverb Output goes to EFX Return". The arrows are not meant to be labels that say "This is the reverb ...

Cool. Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm tracking directly to tape on a 388 so I really like doing mono to save channels, or stereo, but I'll probably rarely use three mics (unless I was recording an organ trio or other small combo maybe). We also have a super-short leslie, it was a custom chop and ...

Finally got my SR-202. It's cool, I'm really liking it so far as I begin to experiment. Unfortunately, the lights are out on the front... I kind of want to fix that! Any idea how to troubleshoot or replace the bulbs in there? I didn't find anything online yet but going to dig a little deeper. I'll o...

The manufacturing is happening in the Czech Republic, but they've been great so far. They got test pr...

How do you prefer to mic a Leslie?
My band recently purchased a chopped M3 and leslie. We've been touring with it for a few months, but I just got a chance to mic it up and cut some tracks last night. I got a nice sound with two dynamics (a 57 and 58) on the high rotor, the lows even came through pretty nicely. I've also used a singl...
