Seattle people - I'm playing solo this Saturday 1/8

All of the details can be found here: http://music.folktrash.com/show/ Since I am not clever enough to come up with a hip name for my "solo project", I play solo under my own name - Seth Howard. Warm, yes. The food is only punchy if I have a few beers with it. :D

I like lots of iron in the path of my cooking. It gives that hefty vintage tone.

I always want to ask the people with the blaring headphones if they're aware they're totally destroying their hearing.

Re: Hanging Posters in Seattle

also, take some packaging tape, the 1 1/2'' clear stuff on the shitty little plastic thingy with the serrated edge, holds a lot better to cold metal and other outside surfaces that you can't staple to. oh, and its cold! Saliva is a good adhesive for these cold metal surfaces. The tongue is nature's...

Re: Hanging Posters in Seattle

So my band's got a show on the 10th at Chop Suey and we've finally got time to hang some posters. Today I'd like to do Ballard and Capitol Hill- what should we know about hanging posters there? What are places we cannot afford to pass up? Here's the poster- It's 11x17 full color. For Supplies, I'm ...

Why don't you offer time in trade, or do you know this person well enough to know it would be a pain in the ass?

Re: live to two track in my basement

Thanks y'all. I wish the guitar were louder in the mix. I just tried to get it in the ballpark with the headphones I was wearing at the time and hit record.

I should be able to post some stuff that's more arranged one of these days.

The tsunami relief fund scams have begun.

I just got my first charming piece of spam. I don't believe in hell, but if there is one I hope there is a special place in it for these people - one where Hoobastank's "The Reason" plays overhead in an endless loop. :ar15:

Re: WA governor's race

I'm not going to lie. I took great pleasure in watching Dino Rossi demand a re-vote on the news last night (looking every bit the whiny little bitch), but I want our governor to be the person the people of this state voted for. If we need a re-vote to decide the outcome, then I'll be among the first...

Re: Have you calmed down from the election yet?

Our state election is still being contested. It's in the paper every day, so it's constantly reminding me that we have to endure 4 more years of Bush II.
