No output from Analog 1-2 on 002

Hi guys, hoping someone can help here - I started clocking my 002 from an RME unit over the last few days (adat over optical) and I've started having trouble with getting output from 1 and 2. I'm sending 8 outputs to a summing mixer, and 3 through 8 work fine all the time, but 1-2 are dead. I can st...

Delay Compensation: Long, weird annoying issue. Essentially (since 6.4 I believe), PT will AUTO compensate for any induced delays (plugin or hardware) that are within the currently selected latency amount. So if you're set to 512, any plug that causes <512ms of delay will be auto compensated. Howev...

Glyn Johns works great with my Royers.
Recently I tried something like the Coles in the following link, but with the mics more coincident.
That sounded lovely too.

I use Blockfish just for the saturation sometimes.
It can give a sound that 'something missing'.
Last time out, it was on acoustic guitar.

The compressor is cool too, but one of those things that works well or not at all I reckon.

There was mention of it in 'Shakey' which I can't recommend enough. As far as I recall, it was made in a rented house (LA?Malibu?). I think someone else had made a record there recently. Then they moved to a studio.. The original producer/engineer got fed up with the silliness and quit, they brought...

As mentioned, CT4 is great, but I'm usually happiest with it when It's Nuking the bus. I love the URS 1970 in this and a whole bunch of other applications - keep playing with it. It's excellent for slow attack/fast release snare comp. I'm messing with the Chandler Abbey Road Limiter which seems to d...

Plugin/program for getting quick+dirty drums stuff happenin

So I want something really quick and easy for getting drums happening for demo/fuckaround/writing songs purposes.
What's good and cheap/free?
I've got Drumagog, so I don't even need good samples, as long as I can get kick and snare out seperately.
