Re: questioning Rummy

In the reporting I saw the military was doing all it could to remedy the armor problem, but they can't make the stuff fast enough. PC It's just a pity that invading Iraq was such a an urgent necessity. If Iraq hadn't been such an "imminent threat", they could have waited until they had sufficient e...

Re: The Dollar Meltdown

Personally from my Euro-base in Dublin, Ireland, it's a godsend. I'm coming over to your guys in March to buy all your recording gear with my valuable, valuable Euros.

I'll just wave a couple of Euros in your faces and you'll hand over those 1176s At least, that's the plan.

Re: 99.8% of all FCC complaints come from one activist group

It just goes to show you, something that conservatives and right-wingers in general have known for years, all you have to do is make noise and you can get your way. All these right-wing groups with names like "Concerned Parents against Gangsta Rap" or whatever. If they shout loud enough it seems li...

Re: Colors and Moods

I read someting about this in conjunction with the election conventions and the colours used. But it differenciated between men and women. Something along the lines of, red is alarmist to men but something positive to women. But then we men dig blue, whereas the ladies don't for X reason. Seemed lik...

Re: The meaning behind your band/name

My current band is Capratone. An ex-member came up with it while in Ecstacy in a techno club in Dusseldorf. He can offer no further insight, which is unsurprising really.

Re: Explain your User Name

For those who haven't read the two other threads where i wrote this.. A couple of years ago i worked at this company for the summer that sold computer stuff and electricals to resellers. I'm skinny and pretty scruffy and we had to wear suits (despite only e-mailing and using the phone). Gradually m...

Re: Explain your User Name

A Pavement song. Sorry. I used to use "RKelly" as a username cause well......that's my name and everyone was amused by the R&B artist connection, but I don't really wanna be associated with someone accused of having sex with minors (also I believe he peed on a couple of them). Maybe I'll change back...

i'm in columbus ohio, of all places, for the next few days. are there any good record stores out here? as in, places that sell vinyl? if not, maybe i should go do some vote-counting. Try the dumpsters behind the State Republican Party headquarters. You should find some ballots from predominantly bl...

in the same conversation about smile, another of my sister's old friends said that she saw brian wilson live fairly recently and he sounded completely horrible. so i guess pro-tools and autotune are his "good vibrations" i wonder if sunkist will make a comeback?? Well, I wasn't at the same performa...

Re: brian wilson's smile on vinyl!

the bassist in my sister's old band was telling me about "Smile" last nite. i think i'm going to give it a listen. on vinyl would be even better! are you sure it was recorded on pro-tools? no chance it was done on 2-inch just like the old days? No chance whatsoever. And if that disappoints you, I'd...

if we get a stencil and some spray paint, we can start making our own and sell them for tons of money all the time. imagine all the gear you could get... i can imagine that whoever bought it will put it in some glass case and then their crazy uncle charlie will come over and be hungry and be like "...
