I have both a P12 and a R14...very nice sounding mics. The p12 is a very nice emulation of a C12 and worth the money. As for the R14...I like it but it is currently the only ribbon mic I own so I really haven't compared it to anything else, I've got a pair of AEA R84's with the DJ option that should...

I have a beat to shit 64 Gibson B-25 that seems to sound good with whatever I throw in front...

Man, all those clips on your site are tasty. They are proof positive for the wonders of small amp recording. So smooth! Dickey Betts would be proud. If you don't mind be asking, what mic were you using to record those? roy A 57 on the grill and either a 414 or a Studio Projects C1 around 8 ft back ...

I am sure parts were fixed in the studio like most live recordings. Along with looped crowd noise. It does have a great sound and feels like a rock and roll show. Works for me. I will say my CD version sounds very thin compared to the vinyl. Still have it from my youth. Peace, Todd I wore out two c...

KISS Alive!

I must admit that I really enjoy this record, and yes I know,I know KISS wasn't very good. But it's probably nostalgia for me. But I took a listen to this recently and from my 40 year old ears I'm thinking most of this thing is studio recording. I know Kramer has confused the issue many times by cla...

My main guitar is an old strat and I never use the trem, but after giving "blocking" a try I realised I like the sound the springs give(sublte yes, but it does add something). I use just three springs with the clamp screwed in all the way. The one thing I did that made all the difference in the worl...

I won't be sending them to AKG. I think Peluso will refurbish old AKG mics.
