I don't play upright bass, but I would bet that one of those GRAMMA platforms would stop the bass in the floor.

Otherwise if you wanted, you could build a floating platform to stand on.

well...if someone is running cubase SX with motu multi outs I think it would be a good sign, but I don't know anyone that is...

We run G4 cubase sx 1 Motu 1296 OS X (duh) It is really smooth except when we try to use the multiple outs. We want to start mixing "out of the box", but cubase either crashes or makes, what I call, "driver error/conflict" noise. We love the motu and don't have the cash to move to a better I/O box, ...
