yeah, there's a little more about the rock writer's convention than most people would care about, but most of those folks also provide some of the most fascinating interviews in the film. there's also more deep and personal info about Chris Bell than I've seen from just about any other source. espec...

it's a veritable Boston-area nerd convention up in here! Mike, can you post a photo of the bottom of the mic, where the clip would attach? that might help in determining its vintage. a black 421 with an XLR connector is likely a U4 or U5. does it have the bass roll-off switch? I had a real helpful c...

thanks!
thanks!

this could get deep when you put "best" into play. I'll second the Isleys for most righteous jet phaser fuzz guitar, certainly. first flanging I think was "Itchycoo Park" by the Small Faces. was the first stereo phasing the stuff on Axis: Bold As Love ? I'm pretty sure the first use of the Fender Rh...

I'm going for the opposite of that sentence. I say this with nothing but love, as a fellow live guy! seriously, nothing trashy/grainy/low-...

Look for a used Kurzweil Mangler. I agree. The Mangler is a great little box, and who doesn't want to own something called a MANGLER? I can dig that logic! Mangler seems cool, even if just for modulation effects. how's the pitch shifting? Don't forget the Eventide Harmonizer. It's a weird and wonde...
