I see what's happening here. You are outgrowing your digital 8 track. Same thing happened to me, I used the 880 for recording my own music with my band, just to get ideas down. I kept wanting to get the recordings to sound better and better... 5 years later I have a small modest studio where I work...

I never got to post on the old one (SSSSNIFFFFF!) But it this is like, the motherload. SUPER easy to navigate and everything.

One great thing about the self-contained units is that you never have compatibilty problems and very, very, very few crashes (I never crashed any of my recorders), since everything is in one unit.
