If I can't place them on their side I could put them on a rolling shelf. It would just have to take up space under the desk, a bit cluttered. I've got a perfect spot for them on my mantle if they can sit on their side.

Is it safe to set a tape echo on its side?
I can't remember where I saw or heard that it is ok to place a tape echo like an echoplex or a fulltone tube tape echo on its side for a long period of time. Can anyone confirm or deny whether this is a safe thing to do? I'd like them available to mix but need all the scarce desk space I have. Obvio...
