GT MD1a Microphone Cable
Hi all, I'm in need of a second cable for my Groove Tubes MD1a tube mic. It terminates on D-Sub 9 slide lock connectors (which I've found), but it needs 6 conductor (plus a braided shield) cable. Any recommendations on a good flexible cable for this application? Ever fool with these microphones? Man...

*SOLD* Realistic (Radio Shack) PZM Microphone - 33-1090B
Hi. I'm the original owner of this old gem. Still working great and a real kool way to get a different sound on a familiar source. Takes a AA Battery and there are many, many mods for this as well. I always used it as it came and got great results on drum room sounds and trombones etc. $40 with free...

*SOLD* Sennheiser e602 - Original First Version - 1
Hi. This is a the much preferred first version of Sennheiser's e602. All metal body (not plastic like the e602 II) and it has a much punchier, less "scooped) sound. It really is a dramatically better version for most people. Fantastic kick mic. Works 100% and looks good too. Only a couple of minor s...

GT MD1a Repair -
Hey folks. I know there are some fans of this mic like me here so... My MD1a is working great except for one thing. It has a faint high pitched intermittent whistle. It seems like it happens after the mic has been powered up for a while.... but I may be wrong on that. I've swapped out the tube assum...

Mac Interface - Core Audio - So Drivers don't matter?
I'm looking at a replacement (8 Mic Pre) Interface for Mac. If they all use the Audio Core Mac driver....... does it really matter which I choose - stability wise? Put another way I need the most stable Firewire and or USB 8 pre interface for Mac. Is there an advantage (not sonically but stability w...

Mac, Audiofire 12, Ableton Input crackles.....
Hi. I've been using Live since version 2 without a single buffer interface issue - ever. Lately I've been getting random digital hash, crackles etc on input only. Add to that when I try & change buffer settings using the test tone 80% goodie it's really buggy. Sound drops out completely. Odd. My cur...

I think any major DAW can be used to make a great record. For me Ableton has the advantage of getting out of the way for tracking, and at the same time it's many tools go deep for mixing. The "group track" layout works so well for doing a quasi-stem mixing style with a Mackie (or any) 8 channel cont...
