Thanks for the replies everyone. I went with Naiant, smaller company and better price. Plus I'm originally from NC.

In line attenuators

While mic'ing drums with condensers on toms, I have the mic -10 pads in and the Syteks all the way down. It's still too much gain. I want to try these in line pads available in various attenuation amounts, but I'm wondering if the impedance change will effect things. (1K in, 150 Ohms out) Don't comp...

I wouldn't trade 'em. I think YRC will be the vintage collectable set of the future. I've got that kit, same era, 24,13,16. Coated ambassadors top, clear ambs bottom, something heavier on the kick. Boom & crack out the woohoo. I am not a pro.

I believe MeriLoc was a first. And a huge innovation. Swiv-o-matic is an awesome name though.

You could replace the mounts on your toms and bass drum and go with any brand you want, though vintage drum guys will shoot me for saying so. Gibraltar is a decent retrofit brand. I have my Swiv-o-matics fitted with Pearl mounts and RIMS on a floor stand. Not cheap but no damage to the shells.

The pic you posted shows Memri-Loc hardware. One of Nordberg's links shows Memri-Loc, one shows Swiv-o-matic type hardware. They are not interchangeable. Ask someone knowledgeable to identify which style you have and go from there. Or post a pic here of the mount hardware on your toms and someone wi...
