Most surprising thing about hearing aids is now when walking down the street, it sounds like I'm driving in a convertible at 60MPH.
Stills beats not being able to understand even the quietest human speech.
It's not like I like to hear the humans speak. So over it.
Singing is a different story

Re: RIP, Jeff Beck
Feel like I only show up here when somebody dies.
When my time comes I hope y'all can find it in yer heart to remember the one or two good things I tried to pull off.
Anyways,
Beck didn't play electrified acoustic guitar, he played a new 6 stringed beast. And he did it his own way.
Respect

Re: Anyone ever use one of these kick mic mounts?
I have one in my kick w/ a D112 in it. I have a short XLR tail on it coming out of one side of a Pearl rack tom/ kick mount (my tom is not mounted on the kick).Super convenient. There is some adjustability in the distance from the batter head (but not much, 2-3”). Positions the mic where I would try...

Re: McCartney 3,2,1
Emerick also wrote about how Paul would come in and redo bass parts - punching in sections to make sure ever line was articulated correctly. I dare say very few do that these days and instead some engineer will "fix" a wonky note here and there instead... This is the reason for those sweet basslines.
