Re: Gear Design... Graduate School?
To Answer Q's: Serious gear means gear that is well designed and used by professionals in the music industry. I guess the emphasis of: want learn from serious people making serious gear. would be the "serious people." Ideally I would like to be surrounded by the leading designers in audio technology...

Re: Gear Design... Graduate School?

Re: Gear Design... Graduate School?
I'm not as concerned about the hands on stuff as I hope to do most of that stuff outside of school... What I am concerned about is finding a program/prof who knows his stuff about audio. Something more directly applicable than my undergraduate work has been. Thanks for the GT and UM tips. I'll check...

Re: "Portland Studio" or "API+NEVE=GOODNESS&q
Supernatural is working hard to get the API back into a space where you can use it. Stay posted... And in the meantime, take advantage of the new lower rate.

Re: Supernatural Sound, Oregon
Good observation on the mic list. Just a note, Rich has just added a pair of Shure Ksm32s and a pair of AudioTechnica 4050's. What kind of mics do YOU think would make the collection a little more robust/interesting/useful? Thanks again for the feedback. Neal "The are no scratch tracks in life."
