Re: Booking summer tour, need help!
BUMP! These dates are all "possible" shows, but w're leaving on the 9th and starting to get worried that the "possiles" arent gonna come through. We have demos to send out and we LOVE trading shows. We have a house in New Paltz, NY where we have 2 basement shows a month. We have a very cool, friendl...

Re: Large Vans with 6 cyl engine
From the info I?ve been finding, the diesel engines sound like a nice way to go. I've seen Chevy G20 vans with V8 6.3L Diesels. A guy on ebay says his gets 18 miles per gallon...that?s the same as my car gets! When you say "Modern," what time frame would you say? Like 90's and up? As far as renting ...

Re: Large Vans with 6 cyl engine
its a HUGE roll of the dice. The safari/astro might be nice for us, we're only a 3 piece. We have a marshall 1/2 stack, fender bass cab, drum kit, PA and guitars. I dont think it would be a huge load on most vans. What model chevy did you have? Do you have any experience with deisel engines? I alway...

Re: Large Vans with 6 cyl engine
I do my best work half lit! Anyway, I noticed the early 90's Astro van has the 4.3 but they don?t specifically say vortec. How much less efficient is the plain 4.3? Do you have any experience with the astro?

Re: Large Vans with 6 cyl engine
too bad dodge didnt make a powerful 6. We had a Ramvan 350 extended and it was a dream! Now mileage is a huge deal. Thanks for the tips, do you know what Chevey vans have the 4.3 vortec? And all the Econoline vans i've looked at have been between 80 and 90. Any more tips would be great, I need to b...

Large Vans with 6 cyl engine
I've been shopping for a tour van and found out that the ford Ecoline comes with a straight 6. This is great because i've been avoiding large vans due to current gas prices, but this means I can get a large one. Does anyone know any other large/work vans that have 6 Cyl engines?

Cool man. I'm about to jump into this same thing. Did you use anything else outboard with the tape machine? I'm gonna be buying an otari 2 track soon to do the same.

Re: the jfet mic pre from tape op
Side question: I'd like to know what you mean by "gain stage". I've been reading up a lot on repairing high powerd amps, and when someone says something like "...resisitor between gain stages" do they mean between 2 output transistors? or is it somthing on a larger level? I just need some general cl...

Re: Work From Home
That sounds pretty good. I can write fairly well but I have no degree and no history with writing. One again I'm sitting here pondering what I could resell on ebay. Bottom line, I hope to be comfortably jobless by January. And by comfortably jobless, I mean working from home. When I say "jobless" I ...
