Re: Fucking Debates
This message is for Swingdoc and anyone else who buys the moronic one-liners of spin alley: I do not identify with either the Republicans or the Democrats. Even before the debate, however, I was tired of conservative pundits saying, "Kerry is wishy-washy, flip-flops, and speaks to both sides of an i...

Re: so... i'm not gonna vote.
For Wing and others who may share his view: Deciding not to vote in this election because Kerry is not an exciting alternative to Bush is a BAD DECISION. It is difficult to see past the negative attack ads (which are designed to reduce voter turnout for an opposing candidate) and actually endorse ei...

Re: Silversky
typing as i listen .... the guitars sound great. i think the snare sound is too "crack-y." i don't really know a better way to describe it ... it sounds like it's tuned very tightly (?). my personal taste wants the snare to be a bit looser/softer, and to have some more low end. i think the vocals co...

this song certainly rivals your earlier funk numbers in terms of arrangement!

Re: Producers...fire at will.
i'm typing as i listen: track 1 - nice guitar intro. no low end problems yet. ok, other stuff has come in, and i hear what you mean about the low end. the bass guitar is too boomy, i would say. i would roll off the extreme low end of the bass guitar a bit and maybe boost the low mids to give it more...

Re: How to make Bad Dudes sound Tougher?
i really liked these songs. i think they have character ... i like that i can't really place the songs in a narrow range of influences (like i would be able to if they sounded like AC/DC and zeppelin, or some version of classic/hard rock). maybe it sounds a little like one of mike patton's bands, bu...

Re: Tulsa Drone "No Wake"
this music is really very good. the dulcimer sounds surprisingly perfect situated in the western/morricone-ish vibe you guys have going.
congratulations and keep it up! i'm sure we'll be hearing more from you all.

Re: Omnidisc BEWARE!!!!!!!
it is clear that we take risks in buying a cheaper product. i would submit, however, that the original poster did not get what he paid for, even if he paid less than he would've other places. the response by omnidisc is what's most troubling in this situation. this kind of problem happens often, fro...

Re: Compassion will kill humanity
i feel like i should chime in on this one. forgive me if i'm merely repeating something someone else said. i don't want to read through every post on this topic. i have heard the argument "science is overcoming nature, and therefore evolution cannot occur any more" before. this argument is incompreh...

Re: Mixed, Mastered, and ready for some feeback!
i am not used to listening to this genre, but i can tell this song is well done. i don't really see any of the criticisms that tiger vomitt had. the guitars sound crunchy, the drums are tight. the drum sound is VERY roomy, which is kind of strange for this genre maybe (again, i don't really know ......
