Re: I can't afford to get my songs mastered...
There needs to be less 'me' and more 'we' in this. Less about a band member foisting their rushed material on the public and more about giving away GREAT songs to fans and future fans. If the music is not GREAT, then what are you possibly sharing and why is it worth it? Not to pick on this poster b...

I got my copy yesterday and immediately read the intro and then the letters looking for the one being discussed here. I have to say, I couldn't see any other way to read that letter except that the writer was being an ass. I feel like I'm a pretty level-headed person who can usually find a way to gi...

Reaper was honestly my plan. I did a project in it, and it's just a little too buggy for high pressure situations yet. I really do like how it works though. I was starting to feel a connection.. :-) Seriously, just get Reaper now. I have used Logic, Cubase, Sonar, Traktion, what have you, and I've ...

Don't get an MBA unless you want to run a decent sized company or (worse) work for a consulting firm and misinform people on what they should do, based on the same lack of real world experience. You simply will not get a return on your tuition. And you think the music field is oversaturated.... MBA...

yeah, I've been telling myself to do this for a few years now. I've got the same "small house" problem too. Kudos to those of you that actually did something about it. I'm inspired!

Is that sarcasm? Because I think a thriving music scene will be one with many bands and hopefully a number of them will be good.MT wrote:More bands? Just what every music scene needs...kayagum wrote:If you really don't like what you're seeing, start your own band.

Re: Ever blow up a speaker... Just for the helluvit?
I went through a big phase of killing 10" speakers playing guitar with my Traynor Bassmaster head - 90 watts into 2 10's - got old, expensive and I got a 4-10" that can take it. My bassplayer runs a big muff through her Ampeg v-4 1-15" all the time and has yet to kill the 200 watt eminence in it. I...
