I've wondered about that also. I have noticed that sometimes there are even 3 mics bundled together! Maybe the mics are for seperate redundant feeds? Perhaps one mic for archive, one for PA and one for the press? A transformer split would be a lot simpler! And when was the last time that a 57 stoped...

It's been awhile since I have had the honor of ADAT, but if I remember correctly, ADATs require the BRC to accept external sync.

Always check "disk allocation" before recording. Make sure all the tracks you are about to record on show your session folder as the destination.
After recording tracks, you can check their location by highlighting an audio file(s) and then selecting "show full pathnames" in the audio file list.

I'm pretty sure that the DB25s on the 192 are wired to the standard audio protocol. There are grounds for each audio pair. The shield for the multipair trunk may also appear on pin 13.
