I don't know much about softsynths--the ones in Logic give me all that I can handle. But this does look kind of interesting and it pretty durn cheap.

Re: i
i think what everyone is getting at is that the person that recorded it probably doesnt even remember how they got it to sound like that. why are you so concerned with getting yours to sound exactly like that? the last thing i would want is for someone to say "hey! your kick sounds exactly like tha...

It would be cool for TapeOp to do an article on Martin Dosh and get him to explain how the heck he does this. I'm curious if that new Gio thingy from apogee (http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/gio.php) could be used with Logic to great loopiness. Has anyone ever heard of Paul Dresher? I saw him a...

Personally, I think there are oodles of great options. I used to play through a GK RB400 for years and years and years. Great, solid head. Sounded good powering 2, 1x15s. I got old, that shit got heavy. I downsized to a single cab (1x12) and bought a Euphonic Audio iAmp 350 about 6 years ago. I love...

Seems like a good deal. I'm not in the market myself, but I thought I'd pass it along.

Though sadly it was a long long time ago, my old band had pretty good NYC luck. CBGBs was always fairly straightforward, the Knitting Factory was great. We even played once at the Limelight. They were doing bands prior to dancing. We were nicely feted by the owners (who were strangely decked out lik...

Not even the best Coldplay vid. I think this is (and not coincidentally, their best song).

Note: I'm neutral about Coldplay, not much to like, not much to hate.

And I think, unlike lots of jack-of-all-trades tools, it does them all very very well. The USA-made versions will be pricier than the Tribute (Korea?) line. But I th...
