Looking4 turntable preamp for vinyl digitizing/restore work
I am looking for help in getting a new preamp for my turntable to do some vinyl restoration/digitizing work. What are the options for the best sounding units availible that are a decent price? Am willing to pay a little more for highest quality.
Thanks

Please help deciding btw Mac and PC to get in next week?!?!
I am at the point where I REALLY need to upgrade my computer. Ive been a Windows user since the beginning but have liked the few Macs Ive used. I will be doing audio remastering, vinyl restoration-digitization and multitracking. I do not care about gaming and will not have this unit on the Net. For ...

I continue to be dissapointed with "Remastered" CD
Yeah I just got a "remastered" copy of Japans album Gentlemen Take Polaroids and am dissapointed...the CD that I have had since the late 80's always sounded pretty good but there was noise that you just know is from the duplication master that the label used. Well this remaster has all that noise st...

The fact that this whole line of thought is a reaction to something your father said should be a big RED FLAG. If this all made perfect sense to you would you be asking what to do on an internet forum? Go with your heart. This is the best simplest advice- "go with your heart" I say definately go wi...

606 power
The only part problem that could keep this unit down is the small round black epoxy dc-dc convertor/transformer. That can be tough to replace. The rest is easy. If you know component level analog/digital that is.

Fisa weirdness
I couldn't find a cheaper new alternative to the ntk transistors, but i just bought some germanium ones from a guy on ebay for a lot cheaper than the ntk, so hopefully that'll work. while messing with the card, i turned the inductor's shaft so much that it came all the way out. it went right back i...

I tuned a compact six months ago. Just cleaned the sealing wax (?), and dialed it into tune. Worked like a charm! What a cool machine... Man you where lucky. Ive only seen one in like twenty years that was close to that and I usually see at least three Fisas a year unless guys around town are playi...

Farfisa trimpots etc
You need to be REALLY carefull when tweaking the trimpots used for tuning a Farfisa/Vox etc as there is a good possibility they will break when you tweak them. Best to remove any wax or sealant that is around the place to put the screwdriver head and squirt the TINIEST amount of cramolin or tunercle...

Looking for Bill Tullis-Trollsound for questions
Hey
I am looking to drop a line to the Bill Tullis of Trollsound Studios in Georgia
and cannot find any email address for him or that studio. Does anyone know how I could drop him a few questions on the Peter Himmelman/Sussman Lawrence CD's he did the "mastering"for?
Thanks
David
